San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk is suspected of speeding in Santa Clara County, according to multiple reports June 3, and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.
The misdemeanor speeding charge stems from a video Aiyuk posted to his YouTube page in December 2025, according to the California Post.

The video showed Aiyuk driving past Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara at 104 mph in a Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing.
As fast as Aiyuk was driving, the sheriff proved ironically slow to press charges.

Later that month, Aiyuk said on his YouTube page that he was sorry for the escapade.
“Sorry yall,” he wrote. “My car content won’t come with speeding anymore! Was Praying with my son tonight and wouldn’t want anybody else to miss out on an opportunity to do the same with their loved ones!

In 2023, Aiyuk was chosen a first-team wide receiver by Pro Football Focus and was an AP second-team pick. In 2024, Aiyuk played seven games and caught 25 passes for 374 yards. But he hurt his knee midway through the season, then missed all of last season rehabilitating the injury.
In January, San Francisco general manager John Lynch told reporters that the team’s relationship with Aiyuk had gone “awry.”
“It’s safe to say he’s played his last snap as a 49er,” Lynch said at the time.

Dan Graziano of ESPN reported in May the 49ers haven’t traded Aiyuk “because everyone in the league knows they’re going to have to eventually release him.”
If that prediction was less than certain at the time, news of Aiyuk’s pending arrest would only push it closer to becoming reality.
Aiyuk was picked by the 49ers in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft. In 2024, he agreed to a four-year, $120 million contract extension to remain in San Francisco after a prolonged, public back-and-forth.
