Recapping the NBA seasons of former Ducks in 2025-26

With the NBA Finals set to kick off on Wednesday night, it felt the right time to take a look back at the past NBA season. Four former members of the Oregon basketball program appeared in NBA contests this season. Two of those players are NBA regulars under long-term contracts, while the others lack future clarity.

With the 2025-26 season now in the rear view, it felt the right time to look back at how those players performed. I've also included their latest contract information to provide an idea of what could be forthcoming.

Payton Pritchard - Boston Celtics

2025-26 stats (79 games / 50 starts): 17.0 points per game, 5.2 assists per game, 3.9 rebounds per game with 46.4 % FG shooting and 37.7 % 3-point shooting.

Upcoming contract terms: Two years remaining with $16.1 million owed

Season recap: The Celtics reshaped their roster in 2025-26, with Pritchard stepping into a starting role. That stopped the reigning Sixth Man of the Year's repeat campaign. Pritchard did post career-highs in scoring, assists and rebounds, as his minutes per game average also reached the largest of his career. Not only that, but the West Linn native posted a new single-game scoring high with a 42-point offering against the Cavaliers near Thanksgiving. In total, Pritchard reached 30 points on six occasions in 2025-26. He also finished with five double-doubles on the season. The Celtics reached the playoffs, with Pritchard averaging 14.6 points and 5.1 assists over seven games.

Dillon Brooks - Phoenix Suns

2025-26 stats (56 games / 56 starts): 20.2 points per game, 3.6 rebounds per game, 1.8 assists per game with 43.5 % FG shooting and 34.4 % 3-point shooting.

Upcoming contract terms: One year remaining with $21.0 million owed

Season recap: Brooks was dealt from Houston to Phoenix, landing him on his third franchise over his nine-year NBA career. The Suns were an unexpected playoff team in 2025-26, with the former Oregon star acting as a core cog in the season's success. Brooks set a new career scoring high with 20.2 points per game. He'd never scored more than 17.0 points per game in a season in which he appeared in more than 50 games. A fractured left hand cost him much of the final portion of the season. He was able to return in time for postseason play. Brooks was at his best even in the losing effort, scoring 30 points in two of four games, to average 26.0 points per game on red hot 43.8 percent shooting. Brooks is expected to be a popular free agent next summer.

Chris Boucher - Boston Celtics

2025-26 stats (9 games / 0 starts): 2.3 points per game, 2.0 rebounds per game, with 32.0 % FG shooting and 13.3 % 3-point shooting.

Upcoming contract terms: Unrestricted free agent

Season recap: The nine-year veteran fell out of favor in 2025-26. After averaging double-digits with the Raptors the year prior, Boucher signed a one-year league-minimum deal with Boston. He appeared in nine games before being traded to Utah at the trade deadline. He was immediately waived by the Jazz. Boucher will be 34 during the 2026-27 season, making his future in the league uncertain.

N'Faly Dante - Atlanta Hawks

2024-25 stats (4 games / 0 starts): 0.3 points per game, 1.8 rebounds per game, with 25.0 % FG shooting

Upcoming contract terms: Unestricted free agent

Season recap: Dante signed a two-year deal with the Hawks after his debut season with Houston. He appeared in only four games before suffering a knee injury. He ultimately had season-ending surgery in December, and the Hawks waived him at the trade deadline. Dante is only 25-years old, but it's unclear when he'll be heathy enough to play next season, making him a difficult player to sign during free agency.
