Hawks’ Godfather Jaylen Brown trade offer that would force Celtics to consider blockbuster

This offseason is likely to see some big-time superstars switch teams via the trade market. While most blockbusters in recent years have seen superstars traded for draft capital, it is possible that some of the best players in the league will be swapped for one another this offseason. Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jaylen Brown are two players who have already been involved in trade rumors.

Antetokounmpo has been a trade candidate for quite some time now, and this seems like the offseason that the Milwaukee Bucks will finally let him go. Brown thrived as the Boston Celtics top option this year, but there have always been whispers of separating him and Jayson Tatum, and Boston has reported interest in Antetokounmpo.

However, a rebuilding Bucks team might not want Brown, which could lead to them rerouting him in a trade by involving a team with interest, such as the Atlanta Hawks. So, what could a three-team deal highlighted by Antetokounmpo and Brown look like?

Milwaukee Bucks receive: Onyeka Okongwu, Buddy Hield, Zaccharie Risacher, Corey Kispert, one first-round pick from the Celtics, two first-round picks from the Hawks

The Hawks had a breakout season in 2025-26, and their decision to trade Trae Young is looking better by the day. That move was originally questioned because of the underwhelming package the team received in return, but it has become clear that the team needed to move on from their former franchise player in order to move forward.

Now the team will look to take the next step toward contending in the Eastern Conference, and they can use some of what they got from the Washington Wizards to make another blockbuster trade. The Hawks have been reported as an interested party in Brown's services. He'd form an electric wing duo with Jalen Johnson, and his championship experience could be the boost that the team needs.

Atlanta could offer two first-round picks and a variety of role players to get a deal done. Among the players would be Corey Kispert, who was acquired from the Wizards, and Onyeka Okongwu, a solid starting-caliber center who is still just 25 years old. Perhaps the most intriguing piece of this deal for Milwaukee would be the inclusion of Zaccharie Risacher. The former number one overall pick was taken atop one of the worst draft classes in recent memory, and he is trending toward bust status. Still, he was the first overall pick for a reason, and taking on a high-potential reclamation project would make a lot of sense for the Bucks in the post-Antetokounmpo era.

The Celtics, meanwhile, would have to add a first-round pick on top of Brown to upgrade to Antetokounmpo. The two-time MVP and former Defensive Player of the Year is still one of the best players in the league. The Celtics don't need to make a desperation move this offseason. After all, they exceeded expectations during a season that was supposed to be a gap year because of Tatum's achilles injury. If Antetokounmpo is on the table, though, the Celtics would have to consider this trade.

This trade would see the Bucks depart with Antetokounmpo for picks, role players, and prospects, while the Hawks would add Brown, and the Celtics would walk away with the Greek Freak. It could very well be the rare win-win-win trade.
