RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool as a potential replacement for the departing Mohamed Salah, although Paris Saint-Germain are also reportedly interested in the 19-year-old.

Diomande enjoyed an outstanding 2025-26 Bundesliga campaign, directly contributing to 20 goals (12 goals and eight assists) in 33 appearances.

Only Harry Kane (41), Michael Olise (34), Luis Diaz (29), Deniz Undav (25) and Christoph Baumgartner (21) registered more goal involvements in the division.

The Ivorian also topped the league for completed dribbles (118), finishing 50 clear of the next-best player, while his 104 take-on-ending carries were 29 more than any other player in the Bundesliga.

Diomande is set to represent Ivory Coast at this summer’s World Cup, where they will face Germany, Ecuador and Curacao in the group stage.

Despite growing interest from several of Europe’s biggest clubs, the teenager’s immediate focus remains on international duty. However, he admitted he has “loved Paris Saint-Germain” since childhood, further fuelling speculation surrounding his future.

“My future? I have a team that takes care of that,” Diomande told L’Équipe. “I try to stay as focused as possible. I’ve loved PSG since I was little. I think my father was a PSG supporter. But I’m not thinking about the future, I’m staying focused on the World Cup. We’ll see what happens after that.”

RB Leipzig will only consider selling Yan Diomande this summer if they receive offers in the region of €100million, despite the winger having spent just one season at the club.

Paris Saint-Germain sporting advisor Luis Campos is keen to strengthen the squad following the club’s recent success, with a focus on refreshing Luis Enrique’s options after a demanding campaign.

PSG are particularly eager to add quality on the right wing. While Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Bradley Barcola are most effective on the left and Ousmane Dembele has increasingly been used centrally, the right flank has been identified as a key area for reinforcement.

Diomande is understood to be one of PSG’s leading targets, setting up a potential transfer battle with Liverpool this summer.
