NFL quarterback [Russell Wilson](/players/russell-wilson/) posted a "thank you, football" video on social media Wednesday, addressing his decision to [transition into a broadcasting role](https://www.nfl.com/news/russell-wilson-cbs-sports-putting-pause-on-playing-career) with CBS.
At no point during the video, which lasted 3:16, did Wilson specify he was retiring.
For now, the 37-year-old steps away from the game with 46,966 passing yards, 353 touchdowns, 114 interceptions, 10 Pro Bowls and a Super Bowl XLVIII victory.
