Fan dragged off court during Spurs-Knicks Game 1 after selfie attempt

The 2026 NBA Finals between the New York Knicks and San Antonio delivered many pulsating moments. Including Jalen Brunson needing to step away early with an injury scare against the Spurs. But the game paused momentarily for another reason: A fan rushing the court before the Knicks won 105-95.

A young fan managed to run into the Frost Bank Center court with a cell phone in his hand. That fan clearly tried to take a selfie of Victor Wembanyama. Security ultimately intervened.

Brunson emerged as the only player on the floor to score 30 points. He also hit a tear drop basket to put the Knicks up by six with under 40 seconds left.

Again, he needed to overcome more than Wemby and the physical Spurs. Brunson argued with referee Scott Foster about calls not going his way. But the first-time NBA Finals performer carried the scoring load, plus got his team to erase a 14-point deficit. Brunson delivered 13 points alone in the fourth quarter.

New York then secured its 12th consecutive postseason win by beating the Spurs by 10. Brunson raved about the chemistry of his team in helping lead the Game 1 win. But he also appeared to be yelling at a fan sitting courtside after the game. Meanwhile, the fan taken off the court likely won't be invited back to Game 2. Even the NBA on ABC crew called him out.
