It was midway through the fourth quarter when a fan ran onto the court from the sidelines toward San Antonio player Victor Wembanyama in what appeared to be an attempt to take a selfie with the star.
However, the fan was quickly stopped by security and removed from the area. The game was paused but resumed after about a minute.
The teams were evenly matched throughout the game, but New York pulled away in the final minutes.
