Bucks reportedly looking to move $283 million worth of contracts in new Giannis Antetokounmpo rumor

If the [Milwaukee Bucks](https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nba/milwaukee-bucks) decide to move on from Giannis Antetokounmpo in any blockbuster trade this offseason, there are other things they should attempt to do in that trade.

Certainly, the Bucks need to ensure they get the best possible package in return for Antetokounmpo's services, as whatever decision they make will have a major impact on the future of their organization.

Keeping Antetokounmpo in town still seems like the smarter move if they want to win in the near future, but getting back some assets should be a priority.

Another thing the Bucks should look to do is shed salary from multiple players on their current roster, including Myles Turner and Kyle Kuzma. The Bucks have a few decent young players, but moving on from players with big salaries should be a priority, especially if they want to compete in the near future and reset right now.

According to the latest report, the Bucks appear to be looking to do that, at least with Antetokounmpo and Turner.

“I was told the Bucks have explored the possibility of a trade package that would include Giannis Antetokounmpo and Myles Turner, who recently threw Antetokounmpo under the bus for basically being able to do whatever his heart desired last season and not facing any repercussions — like being hours late for a team flight.

“While Turner and Antetokounmpo spending another season together would be crazy, a more likely scenario would have them ending up with different teams in a multi-team deal,” Gery Woelfel [wrote](https://x.com/GeryWoelfel/status/2061850472063869340).

I'm still of the belief that until a trade happens, it's a bit questionable to continue talking about that. The Bucks have proven over the past few years that when Antetokounmpo has been uncertain about his future in Milwaukee, they typically make a blockbuster move to ensure he's happy and keep him around. I wouldn't be surprised if that happens once again.
