'Let’s see what happens with Liverpool': Fabrizio Romano drops update on £100m LFC target

**Liverpool have been heavily linked with signing Bournemouth Eli Junior Kroupi, but there is a lot of interest from Europe’s big clubs in the 19-year-old.**

Last week, a report claimed that [Manchester City held ‘preliminary talks’ with Kroupi’s agents](https://live4liverpool.com/premier-league-clubs-learn-bournemouth-asking-price-for-eli-junior-kroupi/), but Bournemouth will reportedly not budge on their £100m asking price.

This comes after Kroupi became the first teenager to score 13 goals in his debut season in the Premier League.

With the French striker accomplishing this under soon-to-be Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola, links to the 19-year-old have intensified in recent days.

Latest Eli Junior Kroupi transfer news

Fabrizio Romano has shed some more light on the Kroupi situation, with PSG entering the transfer battle with a determination to sign the young striker which will complicate matters for the interested Premier League teams.

Romano reports: _“I can tell you for sure, Arsenal have called, Manchester City have called, and more clubs are interested. Let’s see if Iraola goes to Liverpool. But also Paris Saint-Germain are in the mix for Eli Junior Kroupi._

_“Paris Saint-Germain had some contacts. Paris Saint-Germain took some information on the player, and Paris Saint-Germain really appreciate him, and have a very good connection with his agents._

_“So, Premier League giants, Arsenal, Man City, let’s see what happens with Liverpool, with Iraola, and now also Paris Saint-Germain in the mix.”_

Kroupi is a gem but he’s not likely heading to Liverpool

--------------------------------------------------------

As much as it would be a fantastic story to see Kroupi follow his manager Iraola to Liverpool, there isn’t a chance the Reds pay £100m to sign him when they spent over £200m to sign Alexander Isak and Hugo Ekitike last summer.

Ekitike might have a long recovery ahead of him from the awful Achilles injury he suffered against PSG in the Champions League this season, but even then it doesn’t seem likely Liverpool sign another striker.

What Liverpool need in attack is fast, talented wingers. With Mohamed Salah leaving, they’re short on talent on the wings. Cody Gakpo is a good player but he does most of his best work in central areas although he does seem to prefer the left wing.
