Liverpool target Yan Diomande has confessed "I've loved PSG since I was little" with the winger expressing a clear preference as the race hots up for his signature.
The RB Leipzig winger is tipped to be on the move this summer following his breakout season. He scored 13 times for the German side, whose business model suggests they will cash in and make a huge profit on the Ivorian.
Liverpool have identified him as the type of player who could replace Mohamed Salah, who has called time on his spell at Anfield. He leaves huge shoes that need filling but Diomande has the characteristics that would suit this new look Liverpool side.
However PSG, who recently retained their Champions League crown, are also keen and look to have leg up in the form of Diomande's love for the club. He was a childhood fan, as was his father and the style of play they employ is also a huge draw.
The 19-year-old said: "Paris Saint-Germain is a team I've loved since I was little. My father is a Paris Saint-Germain supporter; it's a team I admire as a football fan."
Speaking to Telefoot he added: "It would be a pleasure for me to come and play here with one of the biggest clubs. It's always a pleasure to come here because, already, with French, I think the adaptation won't be difficult. But why not."
Diomande came up with 23 goal involvements across his 36 matches for Leipzig last term. His immediate focus is on the World Cup where, despite his tender age, he will be among the players Ivory Coast will look to most as they bid to make the knockouts for the first time in their history.

The winger claimed: "I don't think I'm thinking about the future or anything else. As I said, I'm focused on the World Cup. After that, what will happen is that the clubs will work things out amongst themselves, and we'll see what happens next."
Liverpool are set for wholesale changes, which are expected to be led by incoming boss Andoni Iraola. Last summer the likes of Florian Wirtz were added but over the last 12 months Salah and Luis Diaz have left, leaving voids on the flanks.
PSG meanwhile have a very settled front three with Desire Doue and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia their first choice wingers. Bradley Barcola serves as another option but that hasn't stopped the Parisians eyeing more reinforcements.
