Following a catastrophic campaign, West Ham United were relegated to the Championship on the final day of the Premier League season after losing three of their last four games.
As such, a number of their top players have been linked with moves away from the club. Both Jarrod Bowen and Mateus Fernandes are in the crosshairs of bigger clubs – today, however, we’ll be focusing on former Leeds United man Crysencio Summerville.
Recently, a development has emerged in the race to acquire his signature. Aston Villa, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are all interested in a move for the player, but AC Milan have recently taken the lead from amongst the pack.
This comes from a report from TEAMtalk, who believe that AC Milan hold the strongest chance of signing him out of the quartet as things stand.
Interest in Summerville’s services are high, but he won’t come cheap – sources believe he will cost any of his potential suitors a minimum of £25 million, with the final figure likely to be around £35 million.

A physical, pacey winger with excellent ball control, Summerville enjoyed a decent season within a largely underwhelming West Ham squad in the previous campaign.
Not only did he score five goals and rack up four assists in the Premier League, he also scored two goals and notched up a single assist across three FA Cup games.
Summerville missed seven Premier League games last season. The Hammers failed to win any of these seven matches in which he didn’t play – this, alone, should signify how important the Dutch international was to their efforts in 2025/26.
On top of this, he also showed his adaptibility last season. While he is a natural left-winger, he can also play as an attacking midfielder or as an out-and-out striker.
Who would benefit most from Summerville’s arrival?
While AC Milan might be leading the charge to sign him, the other three clubs remain firmly in the race – and they would all benefit greatly from bringing him on board in the summer.
Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers is a highly-coveted player at the moment. Summerville is a very different player to the England international, bringing another set of skills to the table, but he would be a strong replacement for him on the left wing.
Liverpool need to replace Mohamed Salah, given his confirmed departure – as a lightning-quick wide player, Summerville could be a good option to fill the gap left behind by the Reds’ former talisman.
However, we think it makes the most amount of sense for him to move to Tottenham. Spurs are in disarray at the moment – in theory, it wouldn’t be too hard for him to carve out a regular spot in the first team.
Furthermore, it is a move that makes sense geographically. To move to AC Milan, Villa or Liverpool, Summerville would be forced to uproot his life in London – this won’t be the case if he chooses to move to Tottenham.
