Aniya Harvey is one of the original cast members on Love Island USA season 8, and it turns out she comes from a very cool family. And by that I mean her dad is a former NBA player and her mom is a well-known shoe designer.
Aniya casually revealed on Love Island USA that “My dad, he used to play in the NBA,” and if you’re wondering who he is…that’d be Donnell Harvey. Per NBC Sports, he entered the NBA Draft in 2000 and has played for everyone from the Denver Nuggets to the Dallas Mavericks to the Phoenix Suns. He now works with his nonprofit, the Restructuring Youth Foundation, which is “geared towards providing resources and information essential to assisting in the development of America’s youth specifically pertaining to community development, health, education, arts and culture, physical activities, food, financial literacy and all tools that would aid in the development of a community and at risk youth.”

Aniya’s mom Natischa is a shoe designer and author who also works at the family’s nonprofit. She told In Her Shoes back in 2010, “I have always been fascinated with materials, textiles and colors. As a young girl I always had a sneaker fetish which then turned into stilettos as I continued to age. I think my talent, coupled with faith and determination launched the Fever brand.”
FYI, Natischa and Donnell have three other daughters named Angel, Ava, and Asia!
