Chelsea are “best positioned” to win the race for Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic, according to reports.
TEAMtalk claim that the Blues have had talks with the Serbian international, who will be available on a free transfer at the start of next month.
Juve are believed to have made a last ditch attempt to retain Vlahovic, but the two sides could not agree on personal terms.
He is set to have his pick of clubs, but TEAMtalk report that Chelsea are the most “advanced” in terms of negotiations.

Other Premier League teams, including Manchester United, Aston Villa, Tottenham, Newcastle and Everton, have also been contacted by Vlahovic’s agents, while Saudi Pro League teams and Atletico Madrid are weighing up approaches.
Vlahovic was “spotted” in London
Italian newspaper Corriere Dello Sport have claimed that the 26-year-old was seen entering a London hotel just under a week ago.
They suggested Chelsea were Vlahovic’s most likely destination, although it wasn’t clear at the time that he would be leaving Juventus at the end of his contract.
Of course, after being “spotted” in the British capital, it does seem (at the very least) that talks with Chelsea representatives have been held.

Will Chelsea break their wage structure?
It has been said by multiple sources that this summer will be radically different to past transfer windows under the Clearlake/Boehly regime.
The club is willing to sign players in their late twenties, and manager Xabi Alonso will have a big say in who is brought in, unlike previous head coaches.
There are doubts, though, over whether the Blues’ strict wage cap will be loosened. Vlahovic was/is Serie A’s highest earner – taking home £370,000 a week according to Capology.
At the moment, captain Reece James and Wesley Fofana earn the most at Stamford Bridge, but their salaries (£200,000 a week) are significantly below Vlahovic’s. For that reason, it is wise to remain sceptical about whether a move for the Serbian is in the works.
