Brunson can never be counted out of a game. He was injured twice in Game 1 after taking shots to his legs, but that didn't stop him from willing the Knicks to a win.
They were down by double digits in the second half of the game. However, Brunson came alive in the second half. He ended up scoring a game-leading 30 points. He only made 12 of his 31 shots, but he willed his team to victory. His shots late in the game helped get New York over the hump.
He wasn't only, though. Karl-Anthony Towns attacked the pain, scoring 18 points. KAT also had to go against Victor Wembanyama, who was relatively held in check. While he made 12 of his 13 free throws, he only made six of his 21 field goals.
Josh Hart wasn't a big scorer, but he did have 15 huge rebounds and six assists. His contributions go beyond the box score. Landry Shamet continued his postseason hot streak, ending the game with 13 points.
