Packers Lock Up Superstar Wide Receiver In Massive Move

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN the Packers have signed star wide receiver Christian Watson to a four-year, $110.5 million contract extension. The deal reportedly includes $31 million in guaranteed money.

Two of the Packers’ top receivers have been extended this offseason: Jayden Reed: 3-years, $50.25M Christian Watson: 4-years, $110.5M. Back in April general manager Brian Gutekunst made it clear that he wanted Watson on the team moving forward:

“Certainly, we would like Christian around,” Gutekunst said on Monday (in April) from the league meetings. “He did an amazing job with his rehab process and was just a true pro. He’s a unique individual as well and he did a lot of really good things for us the second half of the season. That’ll be something, I think, that would be good for both of us if we could do that. We’ll kind of see how that goes.”
