Liverpool’s summer is already shaping up to be box-office viewing for Reds supporters, and we are only at the very beginning of the window.

Alongside Iraola’s appointment, the links to exciting young talents like Yan Diomande and Bradley Barcola show the direction of travel.
Liverpool are clearly targeting a younger, more dynamic profile to refresh the squad, and these names continue to crop up as serious options rather than just background gossip.
In that context, it’s no surprise that the recruitment team are also looking closely at the next wave of prospects who can strengthen the pathway from academy to first team.
According to journalist Bence Bocsák, Liverpool is now in advanced talks to complete a move for Hungary U19 international Patrik Farkas.
The Blackburn Rovers midfielder is expected to become a free agent at the end of the month, with Liverpool stepping in to bring him back to the club after four years away from the academy he previously represented.
The report reveals that Farkas spent more than two years in Liverpool’s academy before departing at under‑16 level to join Blackburn, where he went on to become a regular fixture for their under‑21 side.
Bocsák adds that negotiations are progressing over a two‑year contract, with the intention that Farkas signs officially on 1 July once his Blackburn deal expires.
Farkas has racked up 15 appearances in the 2025/26 season, spread across the PL2, the Premier League Cup, and the National League Cup.
