“I Love to Hit”: Cincinnati Bengals TE Excited After Injuries Derailed Past 4 Seasons

Cincinnati Bengals tight end Erick All Jr. aims to put his injuries behind him after missing 43 games dating back to his final season with the Michigan Wolverines in 2022 and his lone season with the Iowa Hawkeyes in 2023. He missed 11 games in 2022 with a significant back injury that required surgery. All then missed seven games in 2023 due to a torn right ACL. He tore the same ACL in his rookie season, missing eight games and the entire 2025 campaign.

All has since fully recovered and has been a full participant in voluntary organized team activities. He will compete for a roster spot, and if he can pick where he left off in both the blocking and receiving departments, he could earn a place on the 53-man roster.

Cincinnati Bengals, Erick All Jr.

Cincinnati Bengals tight end Erick All Jr. (83) leaps over Washington Commanders cornerback Mike Sainristil (0) on a reception in the second quarter of the NFL Week 3 game between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Washington Commanders at Paycor Stadium in downtown Cincinnati on Monday, Sept. 23, 2024. The Commanders led 21-13 at halftime.

During Tuesday’s press conference, Erick All Jr. was asked about his health after recently recovering from a pair of ACL injuries, as reported by Billy Riccette of Bengals Wire. He said he feels much better than when he first arrived in Cincinnati in 2024 and is now completely healthy. All also emphasized his physicality, saying he “is in heaven” when coaches have him hit.

“I love to hit. If they have me hit, I’m in heaven,” All said, via Riccette.

“If I’m being quite honest, I feel a lot better than I did when I first got here. Like, a lot better. Completely healthy, 2024 season to now, I feel like a completely different person.

“No matter how much I believe in God, no matter how much I love my kids, I love this game so much. I want to get back here and be a dog for our team and go win the Super Bowl.”

Tarvarius Moore, Chicago Bears, Green Bay Packers

Cincinnati Bengals tight end Tanner Hudson (87) completes a catch as Green Bay Packers safety Tarvarius Moore (30) defends in the second quarter during a Week 1 NFL preseason game between the Green Bay Packers and the Cincinnati Bengals,Friday, Aug. 11, 2023, at Paycor Stadium in Cincinnati.

“In recent years, Tanner Hudson filled in gaps for injured Cincinnati Bengals tight ends Mike Gesicki and Erick All Jr. Yet he’s seen a decline in his offensive snap counts since 2023,” Moe Moton said.

“If Gesicki and All are healthy entering the regular season, Hudson will likely battle rookie seventh-rounder Jack Endries for a roster spot.”
