Arsenal are pushing to advance a deal for a new forward for Mikel Arteta after holding talks in recent weeks, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Gunners have enjoyed a fantastic campaign, winning the Premier League for the first time in 22 years, while they also reached the Champions League and Carabao Cup finals.
But now the manager is pushing to make more additions to his squad for the 2026/27 season, and one of the top youngsters in English football is said to be edging closer to joining the club to help future-proof their side for years to come.

According to Romano, Arsenal are advancing on a deal to sign 16-year-old Leicester City sensation Jeremy Monga.
Monga, who has been compared to Ousmane Demebele and described as a 'deadly' finisher, is expected to leave the Foxes this summer following their relegation to League One, despite having broken into the first-team as a 15-year-old.
"Arsenal are pushing to advance on Jeremy Monga deal with Leicester City and [the] player’s camp," he wrote.
"Discussions ongoing as Monga has opened doors to the move to Arsenal."
Monga has already confirmed that he would be ready to make the move to the Emirates Stadium, despite strong interest from other top Premier League clubs, and the Gunners are now ready to seal a deal, with discussions ongoing with Leicester and the player's representatives.
