Souness, who moved to Middlesbrough from Tottenham in 1972, aged 19, before becoming a legend at Anfield, will reflect on his career in an evening event at the Princess Alexandra Auditorium in Yarm on Friday, September 4 at 7.45pm.
He said: "I caught up with some old friends from Middlesbrough's team of 1973-74 this week as we celebrated 50 years since earning promotion from the old second division as champions by a record 15-point margin. I'm very fond of my time at Middlesbrough."
Mr Souness remained with Middlesbrough for four years before moving to Liverpool, where he went on to win five league titles and three European Cups, cementing his place as one of the game's greats.
He recently returned to Teesside to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Middlesbrough’s 1973-74 title-winning side.
Tickets are priced at £37.50 and can be booked through the Princess Alexandra Auditorium website.
