Seamus Coleman.
DONEGAL’S Seamus Coleman will be in action this weekend as the Republic of Ireland face Canada in their final friendly of the international window.
Coleman was in from the start for Ireland’s last outing against Qatar at the Aviva Stadium where they secured a narrow 1-0 win courtesy of a Nathan Collins header.
Heimir Hallgrimsson’s outfit will now make the trip to Montreal to face World Cup co-hosts Canada at the Stade Saputo this Saturday.
Having gone with experience for the home match against Qatar, the Ireland boss is bringing more of an experimental squad with him to North America.
Jesse Marsch’s outfit are entering the World Cup in good form, with no defeats in their last seven matches.
It’ll be a good test for Ireland and the Killybegs defender will be hoping to add another Ireland cap to the 80 that he has picked up so far in his fantastic career.
Saturday’s match against Canada will kick-off at 12:30am Irish time.
