Bulls assistant coach Wes Unseld Jr. is expected to be among the candidates for Chicago's head coaching job.
One of the Chicago Bulls' current assistant coaches is expected to be among the finalists for the team's head coaching position.
According to The Stein Line, former Washington Wizards head coach and current Bulls assistant Wes Unseld Jr. is set to be among the finalists for the job.
"One name among numerous interviewees we've been told to expect as a finalist: Incumbent Bulls assistant coach Wes Unseld Jr. Unseld has past head coaching experience in Washington," The Stein Line reported.
Per the report, new Orlando Magic head coach Sean Sweeney was also high on Chicago's list as the Bulls searched for a replacement for Billy Donovan.
"Sources say Chicago was among the teams that had been quite high on Sweeney at the start of new lead decision-maker Bryson Graham's search to replace Donovan," the report added.
"One footnote on this process: Senior advisor John Paxson, who remains a trusted ear for ownership after his stint as Chicago's head of basketball operations, has had a role in the Bulls' coaching interviews."
According to earlier reports, coaches such as Micah Nori, Dave Bliss, James Borrego and Tiago Splitter were also expected to interview for the Bulls' head coaching job.
