Paris Saint-Germain are not thought to be in the running to sign Eli Junior Kroupi this summer in news that will be welcomed by Arsenal and the striker's other high-profile suitors.

Kroupi is a man in demand after a stellar maiden season in the Premier League, where he scored 13 goals for Bournemouth. Not only did his goalscoring exploits help the Cherries secure European football for the first time in their history, but it also saw the 19-year-old break the record for the most goals scored by a teenager in their debut Premier League campaign.

Arsenal and PSG have both been credited with a strong interest in the Frenchman, as have Chelsea, though Bournemouth are thought to be reluctant to consider selling their prolific frontman.

But in a twist, Get French Football News report that Kroupi is not a target for the newly minted European champions as things stand.

PSG are still looking to bolster their attack and Yan Diomande, the electrifying RB Leipzig winger who is also being courted by Liverpool, is among the players they are targeting.

Arsenal also want to level up their attack after coming up short against PSG in the Champions League final and could swoop for Kroupi or another No 9 just 12 months after shelling out a substantial transfer fee to sign Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting Lisbon.

The Gunners are also targeting Morgan Rogers to strengthen the left side of their attack, while they and PSG would both relish the chance to prise Julian Alvarez away from Atletico Madrid. Alvarez is also wanted strongly by Barcelona.

Kroupi would offer a different route of attack for Arsenal, though reports have suggested that Bournemouth are determined to keep hold for the talented teenager for at least one more season.

They will be able to offer the former Lorient striker European football next year as a result of finishing sixth in the Premier League, which is the highest in their history.

The Cherries are already braced for a summer of change on the south coast with Andoni Iraola moving on. The soon-to-be Liverpool manager has been replaced at the helm by Marco Rose, who will be loathe to lose key players so quickly into his reign. Bournemouth sold Milos Kerkez, Dean Huijsen and Antoine Semenyo last season.
