Former UConn Huskies tight end Louis Hansen [signed](https://www.instagram.com/louiehansen81/) an undrafted free agent contract with the Houston Texans on Wednesday. After participating in the team’s 2026 rookie minicamp, the Massachusetts native will now have the opportunity to fight for a roster spot.
Before transferring to Connecticut, Hansen spent two seasons with the Michigan Wolverines (2021-2022), but played in only three games. In three years as a Husky, the tight end hauled in 46 receptions for 463 yards and four touchdowns.
At UConn’s 2026 Pro Day, the 24-year-old highlighted his versatile skills. The former nationally ranked top-10 tight end and four-star recruit is seen as a well-rounded tight end who is a strong run blocker with reliable hands.
