Chelsea’s plans for Emmanuel Emegha under Xabi Alonso have now been revealed

Despite only joining this summer, there has been plenty of speculation surrounding the future of Emmanuel Emegha at Chelsea.

Emmanuel Emegha’s arrival at Chelsea may be seen by many as a gamble. The Dutch striker joins Stamford Bridge following a frustrating campaign involving persistent injury setbacks.

It’s something that will no doubt worry Chelsea, given some of the injury issues that they had to deal with this season, though, like the Blues, Strasbourg were fighting on all fronts.

Despite these physical concerns, the appointment of Xabi Alonso offers Emegha a clean slate and a perfect environment to showcase his talents.

Alonso, who officially starts work on July 1st, is renowned for his player development, so let’s not write Emegha off just yet, despite what you may have read.

Xabi Alonso to integrate Emmanuel Emegha at Chelsea

The BBC seems to have confirmed that Emmanuel Emegha will be a part of Chelsea’s squad next season.

Emmanuel Emegha agreed to join Chelsea permanently from partner club Strasbourg last summer, and the expectation is that he will integrate into the squad in 2026.

This comes after rumours that Emegha may already be sent out on loan or possibly even sold due to a disappointing second half of the campaign at Strasbourg.

It’s make-or-break for Chelsea’s strikers this summer

An intense pre-season battle is brewing at Stamford Bridge as Chelsea’s strikers prepare to fight for their futures under Xabi Alonso.

Joao Pedro has firmly cemented his status as the club’s untouchable forward, but the remaining attacking spots are entirely up for grabs.

Nicolas Jackson, Liam Delap, Emmanuel Emegha, and Marc Guiu face an audition this summer, with potentially only two spots available in support to Pedro.

And, there have been rumours that Chelsea even want another attacker amid links to Victor Osimhen.
