MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - Jordy Nelson will join the [American Family Insurance Championship Celebrity Foursome](https://www.wmtv15news.com/2026/06/04/its-been-tour-favorite-team-format-adds-twist-amfam-championship-nears-tpc-wisconsin/) Hosted by Andy North this weekend, officials confirmed Thursday.

Nelson, who holds the single-season record for the Green Bay Packers for most receiving yards, stepped in after Fitzgerald Jr. withdrew from the event after the death of his father, Larry Fitzgerald Sr., on Monday.

“We offer our sincere condolences to Larry and his family on their loss,” said Nate Pokrass, AmFam Championship tournament director. “We were looking forward to having him at the AmFam Champ and hope we can welcome him at a future event. In honor of his late father, we’ve made a donation to the Larry Fitzgerald Foundation, which supports youth education and breast cancer awareness.”

Nelson, a longtime Packers legend who was on the Super Bowl XLV winning team, was inducted into the Wisconsin Athletic Hall of Fame in 2020 and the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame in 2023.

Other participants in the Celebrity Foursome group include former Packer Donald Driver and Badgers/Olympic legend Caroline “KK” Harvey.
