Elmo, now, I know you're only three years old, but Mayor Mamdani didn't sign an executive order banning bedtimes if the New York Knicks being in the NBA finals wasn't a very important sports moment.

The Sesame Street toddler shared a well-meaning tweet during Game 1 of the New York Knicks versus the San Antonio Spurs, exemplifying all the good morals you learn in pre-school, like being kind and rooting for everyone:

But the baby puppet soon learned a lesson that many little New Yorkers get very early when it comes to New York sports: you ride hard for the home team, no matter what.
