The Los Angeles Rams signed North Carolina’s versatile offensive lineman Chad Lindberg to a three-year, $3.115 million undrafted free agent contract, with a $15,000 signing bonus. After spending his first four collegiate seasons with the Georgia Bulldogs and 2024 with the Rice Owls, Lindberg transferred to the Tar Heels for the 2025 campaign. He enjoyed a strong one-year stint at center in the ACC, allowing just four pressures and zero sacks across eight games before suffering a season-ending left arm injury.
Lindberg has played every position along the offensive line in college, logging most of his snaps in the interior. In his rookie season, he will compete for a spot on the 53-man roster.

Chad Lindberg must have suffered a significant undisclosed injury during voluntary organized team activities, which caused the Rams to place him on the season-ending injured reserve. The team could waive him with an injury designation and, if he goes unclaimed, reach an injury settlement covering the weeks he’s expected to miss as a one-time payment after reverting him to injured reserve. The front office could then release Lindberg once he is healthy, allowing him to join another team.
