According to Shams Charania of ESPN, president Donald Trump will attend the New York Knicks-San Antonio Spurs Game 3 of the NBA Finals at MSG on Monday night.
A New York native, Trump is a well-known Knicks fan and revealed that he was actually invited by franchise owner James Dolan to watch in person.
Trump originally planned to attend a potential Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals between the Knicks and the Cavaliers at the Garden, but the series ended in a 4-0 sweep in Cleveland.
The last time a sitting president was present at an NBA game came in 2015, when Barack Obama attended a matchup between the Chicago Bulls and the Cavaliers.
