While some athletes spend years trying to get Donald Trump's attention, New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart now finds the president regularly bringing him up for reasons beyond football.

Dart found himself dragged back into the national spotlight as Trump addressed the press on Thursday afternoon at the White House as the singal-caller received yet another public endorsement from the president.

Trump has mentioned the Giants quarterback multiple times in recent weeks after Dart introduced him at a Republican rally, prompting pushback from teammates. Meanwhile, Roger Goodell has been called to testify before Congress after Trump accused the NFL of 'killing the golden goose.'

Trump incorporated praise for Dart's skills with comments about his appearance while regurgitating earlier compliments about his legs. Trump also called Dart a future Hall of Famer before turning the conversation to transgender athletes competing in sports.

"The quarterback Jaxson is the quarterback for the Giants. He's a big, strong guy. And I said, how do you think you're doing in women's sports, Jaxson? He said, 'Pretty good, sir'. He didn't know I was joking. He was not worried. Let me put it that way."

"He would have been the greatest athlete in the history of women's sports," he continued. "You got to see the size of this guy. Like a male model, and he's going to be a great quarterback."

The president commended Dart and claimed the quarterback told him, "I love you, sir," during an interview with Lara Trump while discussing backlash against the QB.

The Giants tried to move past the controversy during offseason workouts, but Trump continues to focus on the former Ole Miss star. The president also has a mutual nod of respect with Giants' head coach, John Harbaugh.

Giants pass rusher Abdul Carter originally voiced his objection to Dart's decision on X. He admitted he was so stunned that he thought the video clip of Dart supporting Trump was A.I. before the two players eventually hugged and moved on.

Other teammates, including Jameis Winston, Brian Burns and Kayvon Thibodeaux, were also outspoken about the team's unity after Dart spoke to reporters during Giants OTAs.

Dart said that introducing and supporting the president was about patriotism over politics, despite it being a political rally, and he stressed his respect for all teammates regardless of their beliefs.

"My thinking was pretty simple in the fact that I've always loved this country," Dart said. "Most importantly, I can honestly say that I love every single one of my brothers, my teammates on this team, regardless of politics, regardless of religious beliefs, regardless of anything that may be different between us."
