The Los Angeles Lakers have a few things to figure out with their roster this offseason, and the first order of business is what they'll do in the NBA Draft. Even with the 25th pick, the Lakers should still have a load of talent to choose from, with this being one of the deeper drafts in some time.
Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints dropped four names that the Lakers could be interested in late in the first round, and all could be key pieces for the team.
“There's going to be big guys on the board in that spot,” Siegel said on Clutch Scoops. “Taris Reed Jr. of UConn is the bruiser big man, and I've compared him to Andre Drummond in a way. A little more loose and elusive than Andre Drummond was, but I think Taris Reed Jr. would be a really good fit for the Los Angeles Lakers, a pick-and-roll big man with Luka Doncic.

“Maybe Koa Peat, who is a Klutch client, could be available on the board for the Lakers at 25. Maybe a guy like Joshua Jefferson, who is a proven veteran at the college ranks and had a very good career with Iowa State his senior year… Isaiah Evans, one of the better wing shooters in this draft. 3-and-D player.”
The Lakers were interested in adding wing players to the team at the trade deadline, and getting some of that help in the draft would help them. At the same time, adding to the center rotation is probably a priority for them, especially knowing how Doncic likes to play.
It will be interesting to see how things play out for the Lakers when the draft arrives, but after that, they'll have to focus on their free agents, with the biggest two being Austin Reaves and LeBron James.
