Man Utd could still make a move for Everton winger Iliman Ndiaye this summer, according to journalist Ben Jacobs.
The Toffees are currently trying to tie down the Senegalese international to a new long-term contract, but speaking on The United Stand YouTube channel, Jacobs said that talks are “not progressing”. The talkSPORT reporter claimed that the Red Devils are keeping a close eye on the player’s situation:

“Iliman Ndiaye is still there according to my information, but they’ll have to wait and see how it plays out with Everton because they’re still trying to get Ndiaye to sign a new deal even though things are not progressing at the moment.”
It should be pointed out that the 26-year-old still has three years remaining on his contract, so Everton would not be under immediate pressure to sell him. However, if negotiations do stall, it would give encouragement to United making a move.
Ndiaye didn’t have the best of seasons
While the forward is clearly a very talented player, 6 goals and 3 assists from 34 appearances isn’t exactly a great return.
If Director of Football Jason Wilcox does decide to invest £70m or more on a new left winger, he would want someone who has a much greater output.

Which other forwards could Man Utd target?
It seems that interest in RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande has cooled, with his €100m (£86m) asking price, as well as competition from Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain, having deterred United from making an approach.
Despite reports linking the Red Devils with AC Milan’s Rafael Leao, Jacobs also downplayed any imminent pursuit of the Portuguese international.
Even though he isn’t an out-and-out wide player, United are apparently leaning towards a bid for Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers. The England international will cost at least £80m.
