Everton are keen on Dundee United youngster Kai Hutchinson. The English Premier League club has been trailing the teenager for some time. Wolverhampton Wanderers are also keen and have also been watching the situation for several months and have a keen interest. United have offered a first pro-contract to the 16-year-old. Hutchinson is currently considering his options. He has still to make a decision on his future. If he does decide to move south then United would be entitled to training compensation.

Walsall have joined Newport County in the fight for Sven Sprangler. The St Johnstone midfielder has a successful spell on loan at Newport at the end of last season. The Welsh side are keen to take him back again for the new League Two campaign. Rivals Walsall are also interested. Saints boss Simo Valakari would be prepared to let the Austrian go to get more regular game time.

Machida Zelvia plan to active the clause in World Cup-bound Tete Yengi’s deal. The J-League side currently have the Livingston striker on loan until later this month. They have an option-to-buy for a six figure fee. The Japanese side plan to take up that option to keep the new Socceroo. The 25-year-old scored three goals in 15 games for Machida Zelda. His form saw him win a late shot with the Australian national team. The forward went in and impressed national coach Tony Popovic and was selected for their World Cup squad.

Partick Thistle are keen on Ayr United’s Ben Dempsey. The midfielder is out-of-contract and considering his options. Ayr are in talks over a new deal but Championship rivals Thistle are also pushing. New Somerset Park boss Gary Naysmith wants to keep him but the Jags have more financial muscle. The Jags have already started to do some early business with the signings of Euan Henderson and Oisin Smith. Thistle also remain in talks with Ben Stanway. Interest from Aberdeen has cooled but he has other Premiership and Belgian interest.
