Honestly, it’s kind of hard to be a native New Yorker living in Los Angeles right now: Knicks fever is turning the whole city blue and orange and bringing sworn frenemies together to drunkenly cheer on Jalen Brunson at outdoor Brooklyn bars.

Since I can’t actually be in New York to bandwagon my way into Knicks fandom, however, I’m contenting myself with something else: analyzing exactly what (or is that who?) goes into a perfect Knicks front row. Here, a breakdown:

1. Genuinely obsessive basketball boys-turned-men

Remember when Ben Stiller and his wife Christine Taylor coordinated their blue-and-orange outfits to show support for the Knicks at the 2026 Met Gala? Well, that’s the kind of loyalty that Stiller has long brought to the front row at Knicks games; he’s a lifelong fan who started attending the team’s games in the 1970s with his father, comedian Jerry Stiller, and now takes his own family to sit courtside.

2. Beautiful, famous women and the men who love them
