Andy Robertson officially announced at new club

Andy Robertson has officially been announced as a new Tottenham Hotspur player. It is believed that Spurs successfully fended off a late Juventus attempt to sign to the Liverpool legend.

The Scotland captain is leaves Liverpool as one of the modern greats of the Jürgen Klopp era, a player who helped redefine the attacking full‑back role at Anfield and who wrote his name into club folklore with a haul of major trophies along the way.

The deal was widely reported on and expected for many weeks prior.

A statement from the North London club read:

“We are delighted to announce the signing of Andy Robertson.”

“A leader on and off the field, the highly decorated Scotland captain will join the Club on 1 July following the expiration of his contract at Liverpool.”

Manager Roberto De Zerbi said of the coup: “Andy is someone I’ve admired for a number of years and he will bring outstanding technical qualities, experience, leadership and mentality to our team.”
