Arsenal have reportedly stepped up their pursuit of Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola, with fresh reports claiming the Gunners have already made contact regarding a potential summer transfer for the highly-rated French international.
Mikel Arteta is expected to strengthen his attacking options during the upcoming transfer window, and Barcola has emerged as one of the club’s leading targets as Arsenal look to add more pace, creativity and goal threat to their forward line.
Reports from France and England suggest the North London side have been closely monitoring the 23-year-old’s situation at PSG for several months and have now begun exploring the conditions of a possible deal.
Barcola enjoyed another productive campaign in Paris but has faced intense competition for a regular starting place in Luis Enrique’s squad. Any deal is expected to be complicated by PSG’s valuation of the player. Various reports have suggested the French champions would demand a fee well in excess of €80 million, while some estimates place his asking price closer to €90-95 million given his age, contract length and potential.
