Former Green Bay Packers linebacker Nick Barnett was drafted by the team in the first round of the 2003 NFL Draft. Barnett played for Green Bay from 2003-2010. He only played in four games in 2010 and that was the year that the Packers won the Super Bowl.

After his time from Green Bay, he played for the Buffalo Bills for two seasons before retiring from the NFL. Barnett was an effective linebacker during his career with the Packers. Profootballfocus.com created a roster of the best Packers defensive players over the last 20 seasons. Did Barnett make the cut or no?

Profootballfocus.com writer Nathan Jahnke created his all Packers offense and defense teams over the last 20 seasons. He did not have Barnett as one of the linebackers on this list. Jahnke said,
“Nick Barnett and Aaron Kampman were among the notable Packers from the 2000s who narrowly missed the roster. In both cases, a significant portion of their careers occurred before the PFF era, limiting the body of work available for comparison.”
De’Vondre Campbell Sr. and Desmond Bishop were the primary linebackers who made this list. The edge rushers were Clay Matthews and Rashan Gary. Barnett was probably better than Campbell. From 2003-2010, he recorded 100 0r more tackles six times. Barnett was a tackling machine, and it was a surprise that he was snubbed from Green Bay’s all defensive team over the last 20 seasons.
