Liverpool have no plans to let Rio Ngumoha leave the club this summer following interest from Bayern Munich, it has been reported. The Reds are bracing themselves for a busy summer transfer window as they prepare for the next Premier League season.
Andoni Iraola has been confirmed as Liverpool’s new manager, signing a two-year contract to replace Arne Slot, who left the club last weekend.
With the summer transfer window ahead, Liverpool are expected to be linked with a host of potential new signings, but there is also a chance that some players could leave Merseyside.
A report in The Athletic has emerged claiming that Ngumoha’s future at Anfield could be in doubt, with Bayern Munich said to be showing an interest in signing the Liverpool star.
It has been claimed that the Bundesliga giants have identified Ngumoha as their number one target as they look to sign a new left winger this summer.
The report goes on to say that Bayern are yet to make a formal approach to Liverpool, although Ngumoha is said to already be kept informed of the German club's interest in his signature.
From Liverpool’s point of view, the report claims that the Reds have no plans to allow Ngumoha to leave the club this summer, and are concentrating on making new additions to their squad rather than preparing for potential departures.

Ngumoha signed his first professional contract with Liverpool in September last year, following his move from Chelsea in the summer of 2024.
The 17-year-old’s current deal with Liverpool expires in the summer of 2028, and the teenager made 29 appearances across all competitions for the Reds first team last season under former manager Arne Slot.
Ngumoha scored his first goal for Liverpool with the match-winning strike away at Newcastle last August, which was the first of three strikes across all competitions.
The Liverpool star was rewarded for his form with the Reds this season by being named among a group of players called up to train with the England squad in Miami this month ahead of the World Cup.
Ngumoha was not named in the 26-man squad confirmed by Three Lions boss Thomas Tuchel, but will gain valuable experience training alongside the first-team ahead of the major tournament.
