With Ederson already on his way, Manchester United have instantly turned their attention towards signing an impressive Barcelona star this summer.
Man Utd working on defensive addition
The priority for the Red Devils will be their midfield this summer. Ederson is an important part of that. The Brazilian is set to act as the replacement for Casemiro, before INEOS shift their focus towards welcoming some key upgrades.
Even after the arrival of the Atalanta star, there are still plenty of names on United's radar. Whilst Manchester City are in the lead to sign Elliot Anderson this summer, for example, there's still every chance that Man United launch a shock hijack on their rivals as the transfer window approaches.

Manchester United have now made their first move to welcome a goalscoring winger for Michael Carrick.
Sandro Tonali, meanwhile, is another interesting name. He's been on United's radar for quite some time and could finally be on the move to Old Trafford this summer.
That's not to say INEOS aren't also focusing on other areas ahead of next season, though. According to TeamTalk, Man United are now working on a deal to sign Alejandro Balde from Barcelona and have already made an approach regarding their move.

The Catalan giants are in a ruthless mood this summer and have told the left-back that he can leave the club, putting United on red alert.
It's an open secret that they're looking to give Luke Shaw some added competition too, with Lewis Hall also on their shortlist of names.
If it does prove too difficult to snatch Hall out of Newcastle's clutches, then Jason Wilcox will have no trouble signing Balde instead - the Man United chief is reportedly a big fan of the 22-year-old.
"Phenomenal" Balde could be better than Hall
It's not every day that a Barcelona defender becomes available, and that's exactly why Man United should take full advantage. Whilst it's clear that Balde is not the finished product at 22, he would provide Michael Carrick with the energetic left-back that he desperately needs beyond Shaw.
The Spaniard could also do with the move, himself. After starting 21 of 38 La Liga games this season, there's no guaranteed starting place under Hansi Flick and that should make a move to Old Trafford all the more tempting.

Dubbed "phenomenal" by scout Jacek Kulig, it should come as no surprise that Balde has plenty of fans at Old Trafford. As Carrick continues to build one of the most exciting attacking sides in the Premier League, the left-back would be the perfect next addition.
