Sir Kenny Dalglish's daughter has provided a health update following his announcement regarding his cancer diagnosis.
The 75-year-old Scottish footballing icon and former manager revealed days earlier that he was receiving treatment.
The ex-Liverpool and Celtic legend explained he'd hoped to keep the information private but unintentionally disclosed it through an "inadvertent social media post".
He stated: "I am currently undergoing treatment for cancer," adding: "Unlike my mobile phone use, the treatment is going well."
He continued: "Ideally, this would have remained private because that's the way it should be, but my useless technology skills have forced my hand," reports the Mirror.

He went on: "Obviously I did not mean to make this matter public so I would appreciate it if the privacy of my family and myself are respected."
Expressing gratitude, he said: "As ever, thank you to the wonderful medical staff who have shown incredible care and discretion, not just for me but for many, many others. They are a credit to themselves."
His daughter Kelly Cates has now shared a health update during an appearance on The One Show.
The sports presenter had been discussing the World Cup with hosts Alex Jones and Roman Kemp, with coverage set to air on the BBC and Channel 5.

At one point, Alex asked Kelly: "We have to, of course, your dad, Sir Kenny Dalglish. So sorry that he's unwell at the minute, but he must be looking forward to watching Scotland? He knows how to score for Scotland!"
Kelly replied: "Yeah, he scored in 1978 when I was a very small child. I don't remember this one, but again it was one of those middle of the night World Cups that everybody was staying up for.
"I know it's not ideal for people but it is a real event, everybody goes into school the next day and they're exhausted, there's all the drama and waiting up.

"The pubs are going to be kept open late so everyone can watch it. I think, in his 70s Scotland's 2am kick off might be a push for him but he'll get there!"
Following the news of Dalglish's cancer diagnosis, fans and friends have rallied around in support.
In a statement, Liverpool FC said: "The support, best wishes and love of everyone at Liverpool FC are, and will be, with Sir Kenny and his family.
