Fabrizio Romano has revealed Liverpool’s firm stance on Rio Ngumoha amid growing interest from Bayern Munich.
The German giants have identified Ngumoha as a key target as they look to strengthen their options on the left wing.
Bayern’s recruitment team has been closely monitoring the 17-year-old following his breakthrough campaign, where he emerged as one of Liverpool’s brightest sparks in an otherwise turbulent season.
However, despite the interest, Liverpool have wasted no time in shutting down any possibility of a transfer.
Ngumoha’s rapid rise has made him a central figure in Liverpool’s long-term plans.
The young winger made 29 appearances last season, contributing goals and consistently showcasing his flair, pace, and confidence on the ball.
His performances not only earned him widespread praise but also a nomination for the PFA Young Player of the Year award, underlining his growing reputation as one of England’s top prospects.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool’s position on the player has been clear for some time and remains unchanged despite Bayern’s approach.
Writing on X, Romano stated, “Liverpool stance on Rio Ngumoha, not just today but for months: untouchable.”
”Seen as crucial part of the project and no chance for his exit, LFC view is clear.”
This strong message highlights just how highly the club rates Ngumoha, especially in the wake of several high-profile departures, including Mohamed Salah.
With a new managerial era underway, Liverpool are focused on rebuilding and strengthening their squad, not losing emerging talents.
While Bayern Munich may continue to track Ngumoha’s development, Liverpool’s unwavering stance suggests there will be no negotiations this summer.
For now, the teenager remains a cornerstone of the club’s future ambitions.
