Besiktas are preparing a genuine offer to sign Arsenal winger Leandro Trossard this summer, according to Turkish outlet Sporx.
The Belgium international was a top target for the Super Lig outfit last summer, but the Gunners were reluctant to sanction his sale.
Trossard went on to impress for the Gunners last season with 19 goal contributions, but he may have played his last game for the club.
Arsenal are planning to make at least one marquee addition on the left wing, and Trossard looks a likely candidate to head for the exit door.
Sporx claim that Besiktas have been ‘pushing hard’ for some time, and they are ready to make a ‘serious offer’ for the experienced attacker.
However, Besiktas are not alone in the pursuit with Premier League clubs such as Newcastle United and Aston Villa among Trossard’s admirers.
Arsenal should not lose Trossard on the cheap
Trossard has been one of the Gunners’ best pound-for-pound signings.
The Belgian signed for an overall package of £27 million from Brighton & Hove Albion. He has proved a huge hit with 70 goal involvements from 176 appearances.
Trossard had a notable dip in form during the back end of the 2025/26 season, but he stepped up to score a crucial winning goal at West Ham United in the league.
There is no denying that the 31-year-old has become a fan favourite, but it could be the right time to move on with his contract expiring at the end of next season.
Besiktas are capable of meeting Trossard’s current wages, given the lower taxes in Turkey, but ultimately, Arsenal should not give up on their prized asset for a low transfer fee.
Despite Trossard being on the wrong side of 30, Trossard remains a game-changer with his uncanny ability to find himself in the right spot to score goals and provide key assists.
We believe Arsenal should hold out for at least £15m for a summer sale. If Besiktas can’t meet the price, the Gunners should wait for proposals from other Premier League clubs.
Newcastle could make a reasonable offer after Anthony Gordon’s exit to Barcelona. Villa could likewise enter the race with Jadon Sancho poised to leave after his temporary stint.
