Kawhi Leonard, Uncle Dennis interviewed for Aspiration investigation

Kawhi Leonard and his uncle, Dennis Robertson, have been interviewed by NBA investigators as part of the league's ongoing probe on LA Clippers' salary cap circumvention scandal.

Kawhi Leonard and his uncle and business advisor Dennis Robertson have been interviewed by NBA investigators amid an ongoing probe into the alleged salary cap circumvention made by the Los Angeles Clippers, per Baxter Holmes of ESPN.

Clippers owner Steve Ballmer also sat down for an interview.

Along with the Clippers, Leonard finds himself at the center of the investigation following reports that he signed a $28 million "no-show" endorsement deal with now-defunct startup Aspiration.

Ahead of the 2026 NBA Finals, Commissioner Adam Silver demanded "finality" over the ongoing case. The league also tapped private firm Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz to conduct a separate investigation.

As such, even though it's been nearly 10 months and there hasn't been any conclusion yet in the investigation, sources told Holmes that Silver won't necessarily land a final punishment out of public pressure.
