Iraola's 'First Three Transfer Targets' Are Worth A Combined £350M As Liverpool Eye 'Major Squad Overhaul'

Liverpool could target three players worth a combined £350m following Andoni Iraola’s appointment as manager, according to reports.

The I Paper claim that the “first three transfer targets” of the Reds’ “major squad overhaul” are RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande and Bournemouth pair Rayan and Eli Kroupi.

Diomande is valued at £120m by Leipzig, while Kroupi is said to be worth around £100m.

The I Paper report that Iraola is a “huge fan” of Rayan, so he could become a top target. However, despite only joining Bournemouth for £30m during the January transfer window, Rayan could now cost upwards of £130m due to a release clause in his contract. It should be pointed out that he only becomes available for that fee at the start of next year.

Will any of these 3 players actually join Liverpool this summer?

Considering the prices quoted, it would be a shock if any of the trio were to make the switch to Anfield before the start of next season.

Diomande appears to be the most likely, with the Reds having made contact with Leipzig. The teenager is said to favour the Reds, and personal terms are not thought to be an issue, but unless the Bundesliga side lower their demands, the chances of the Ivorian making the move to England are pretty slim.

Who could be targeted instead?

Paris Saint-Germain’s Bradley Barcola may well be on the market if Diomande joins the European champions instead of the Reds.

However, Arsenal are also very interested in the 23-year-old, so there could be a battle for the player’s signature.

Other names who could be available for lower prices include the likes of AC Milan’s Rafael Leao, Lille’s Matias Fernandez-Pardo and Hoffenheim’s Bazoumana Toure.
