Myles Garrett gives update on Aaron Donald's Rams comeback rumors

Myles Garrett is the newest member of the Los Angeles Rams.

The entire Rams fanbase is now hoping that Aaron Donald comes back to play with Garrett.

Garrett, of course, just set the NFL's single-season sacks record in 2025 with the Cleveland Browns, and he was traded to the Rams for Jared Verse and three draft picks.

Donald is one of the best interior defensive lineman of all time, but he hasn't played since retiring following the 2023 season.

They'd certainly form a fearsome duo.

Donald has told multiple reporters in the past week that the move certainly caught his attention, and that he wants to find the "fire" inside again to see if he's still got the motivation to get on an NFL field.

Garrett, for his part, would love to have Donald alongside him.

“We haven’t talked yet but definitely expect to talk soon," Garrett said in a video posted to the Rams official social media channels this week. "I don’t know what his plans are and I won’t pretend to know, but a lot of people are excited and thrilled about the possibility of him coming back."

It certainly makes sense that Garrett would be quite happy for Donald to join him in L.A.

It also seems like it would be quite appealing to Donald to hear from Garrett himself.

It seems like the Rams should be trying to make this happen as soon as possible. A Garrett-Donald combination could put L.A. over the top in the pursuit of another Super Bowl.

It may not be a combo that many would've imagined for the Rams a few months ago, but now that it's so close, it could be up to Garrett to help seal the deal on a Donald return.
