Stephon Castle provides injury update after scary moment in NBA Finals Game 2

Stephon Castle eased injury concerns after tweaking his ankle in Game 2 of the NBA Finals. The Spurs guard said he felt better after warming up and was able to return late in the game, providing a positive update ahead of San Antonio's must-win Game 3 against the Knicks.

San Antonio Spurs guard Stephon Castle eased concerns about his health after suffering an ankle scare during Game 2 of the NBA Finals against the New York Knicks.

The second-year guard went down midway through the fourth quarter after landing on Mikal Bridges foot. Castle headed to the bench with 6:45 remaining and did not return until the final 30 seconds of the game, raising questions about his availability.

After the Spurs' narrow 105-104 loss, Castle explained that the injury was not as serious as it initially appeared.

"I was all right," Castle said, via Sam Owens of San Antonio Express-News. "I think I kind of tweaked my ankle a little bit. But it started to feel good after I warmed it up."

Castle's comments should come as good news for San Antonio, as the young guard has been a key piece of the team's rotation throughout the playoffs.

Despite the injury scare, Castle remained productive on the court. He finished Game 2 with 14 points, four assists, and four steals while shooting 5-for-14 from the field.

The loss gave the Knicks a 2-0 advantage in the NBA Finals, but Castle's postgame update suggests he should be ready as the series moves to New York for Game 3.
