Timothée Chalamet & Ben Stiller share electric embrace after Knicks beat Spurs in Game 2

New York Knicks fans showed out in Game 2 of the NBA Finals against the San Antonio Spurs on Friday night and Ben Stiller and Timothée Chalamet were among those fans.

Stiller and Chalamet are regulars at Knicks home games, and they’ve been road warriors during these playoffs, also.

That was no different on Friday, as the movie stars cheered on New York, along with many other Knicks fans, as the team took a commanding 2-0 series lead over the Spurs.

After the game, Chalamet and Stiller had no shortage of hype for their Knicks pulling off two straight road wins and shared an electric embrace.

Now, Stiller and Chalamet will return to New York, where they’ll undoubtedly be in attendance for Game 3 at Madison Square Garden on Monday night.

At the outset of the playoffs, many believed the New York Knicks could navigate the Eastern Conference en route to getting to the NBA Finals.

However, the belief was that New York didn’t have a good chance to beat one of the two favorites out of the west, the San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder.

Things began to turn a bit after the Knicks pulled off a generational run through the east to make it to the NBA Finals.

Even still, the Spurs were favored over the Knicks by many. But after watching these first two games, the Knicks are making believers out of everyone.

“I’m not saying this is the greatest team ever. If they win these next two games, this is one of the greatest runs in playoff history. It’s one of the greatest runs. You have to give them their props,” Charles Barkley said.

“The Knicks are a freaking winning machine. What we’re seeing is a generational run,” ESPN’s Brian Windhorst stated. “You couldn’t have written this script because there was no way anybody could have foreseen this.”

“Yeah, I was wrong about the Knicks. They’re really damn impressive. The shots are falling, the ball movement is out of this world, and they are flat-out outhustling and outworking the Spurs all over the place,” Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer wrote.

“The Knicks are by far the best team in the NBA. On the road, Spurs getting every call, took San Antonio’s best shot and won anyway,” former ESPN analyst Max Kellerman said.

The New York Knicks now head home with a 2-0 lead and a full head of steam.

For the San Antonio Spurs, it’s going to take a historic comeback to win the series.

That’s because no team in NBA history has ever overcome a 2-0 deficit in the NBA Finals after losing the first two games of the series at home.

Both the 1995 Orlando Magic (swept by Houston Rockets) and 1993 Phoenix Suns (lost in six games to Chicago Bulls) failed to accomplish that feat.

To make matters worse, the Spurs will be walking into what will be a raucous Madison Square Garden — and the word “raucous” might not do the MSG atmosphere for Game 3 justice.
