President Donald Trump has been in the football news for the last few days after Jaxson Dart introduced him ahead of a rally. The backlash for the interaction between the New York star and the POTUS has been gaining traction for quite some time now, with more and more icons sharing their opinions on the matter.
Joy Reid was one of the more recent ones to share her opinions on Dart, calling the signal-caller an ‘idiot’ for his actions. In fact, Reid went as far as to say that she does not want to be a Giants fan any longer, especially after what Jaxson Dart did.

The POTUS even went as far to share a strongly worded tweet, encouraging Dart to take no notice of all the trolls from the ‘left.’ Dart is yet to respond to the President’s tweet toward him, but his admiration for the leader of the nation is pretty clear.

Dart himself clarified later that he only did it because he has so much respect for the leader of the nation. The signal-caller even went on to talk about the various veterans in his family who have contributed to the country, something which got only more backlash toward him.

Many wonder what the locker-room situation of the Giants will look like at this point, considering how divided the team seems when it comes to Dart’s statements. Almost immediately after Dart’s introduction of the President, his own teammate called him out, leaving many worried for the upcoming campaign of the team.
