West Ham are “quite hopeful” of keeping captain Jarrod Bowen after having several meetings with the player, according to ExWHUEmployee.
Writing on The West Ham Way Patreon (quotes via their website), Ex said that they have proposed an exemption from the obligatory 50% wage cut that would keep the 29-year-old on £150,000 a week if he stays:

“The club are desperate to hold onto Jarrod Bowen and have already called meetings with him to tell him that they would like him to remain.”
“The England international is at [a] crossroads in his career because he does love West Ham and want[s] to stay; however, he just missed out on the World Cup squad, and at 29 years of age, he has limited time to win that place back, especially as a Championship player.”
“It is thought that West Ham are prepared to honour his Premier League wage in the Championship. Most players have a clause that reduces it by 50 percent if is understood the club will justify keeping his the same as he is the club captain and one of the longest serving players.”
“You also have to have 8 homegrown players in a Championship match squad, of which Bowen would be one. It is unsure on whether he will remain, but the club are quite hopeful.”
Several Premier League clubs have been linked with Bowen
Chelsea are believed to have considered making a move for the England international, while both Newcastle and Liverpool are long-term admirers of the player.
If Bowen does decide that he wants to leave, it is believed that West Ham would hold out for a fee in the region of £50m.

Other West Ham stars will be leaving over the coming weeks
While there is still a decent chance that Bowen will remain at the London Stadium, that is not the case for others, including Mateus Fernandes and Crysencio Summerville.
Even though head coach Nuno Espirito Santo would like to keep hold of his best players, the fact is that the Irons need to raise close to £150m to fill a hole in the club’s finances.
It means that if decent bids are made for the likes of Fernandes, there is no chance of them being rejected. The makeup of the first-team squad will look a lot different at the start of next season.
