Tampa Bay Buccaneers' Baker Mayfield laments loss of Mike Evans

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers' offense is going to look different next season.

For the first time since 2013, Tampa Bay's offensive attack won't feature star wide receiver Mike Evans, who signed with the San Francisco 49ers in free agency earlier this offseason.

One person who isn't happy about Evans' departure is the guy who has been throwing him the football, star quarterback Baker Mayfield.

During his first media availability of the offseason, Mayfield lamented the loss of Evans, saying that the star pass-catcher deserved to play out his career in Tampa Bay.

"There's no way to sugarcoat it -- it's disappointing to not have him back. Just the caliber of player he is -- he's a Hall of Famer -- I thought he deserved to be a Buc for life. Things happen," Mayfield said.

"But luckily, him and I have a great relationship. [We're] still good friends for life. I'll be cheering him on except when we play them, if it comes down to it."
