OG Anunoby gives Knicks fans their flowers after huge Game 2 win

The New York Knicks moved within two victories of their first NBA championship in more than five decades Friday night, and OG Anunoby made sure to recognize the fans who have followed the team throughout its postseason run.

Following New York's 105-104 victory over the San Antonio Spurs in Game 2 of the 2026 NBA Finals, Anunoby praised Knicks supporters for the energy they have brought both at home and on the road.

Speaking with Chris Haynes during NBA TV's postgame coverage, Anunoby credited the fan base for consistently showing up throughout the playoffs.

“I mean it’s amazing, we have the best fans in the world, you know, they support us everywhere,” Anunoby said.

“They come out, always show out, always support us, always loud, always taking over any arena they’re in so it’s amazing.”

The win gave the Knicks a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven series and continued a historic postseason run for the franchise. New York has now won 13 consecutive playoff games dating back to the final two games of its first-round series against the Atlanta Hawks.

Anunoby played a significant role in Friday's victory. The veteran forward finished with 17 points, four rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocks while shooting 5-for-10 from the field and 5-for-5 from the free-throw line across 37 minutes.

His two-way impact helped New York survive a late push from San Antonio and preserve the one-point victory.

After discussing the support Knicks fans have provided throughout the playoffs, Anunoby was also asked what he expects the atmosphere to be like when the series shifts to New York.

“It’s going to be crazy.”
